Parent Resources

Below are links to portals and resources that are essential for you and your student at St. Mary’s Academy. It is the parent and student’s responsibility to utilize these resources regularly so you are informed about school policies, procedures, and grades.

Student/Family handbook: The handbook contains all school policies and procedures. It is made available on this website at the start of the school year and is shared directly with the students via email and Google Classroom. A student and parent acknowledgement form is signed and collected, indicating that the student and her family have reviewed the school policies, procedures, and overall student and parent/guardian expectations and agree to be held accountable for knowing and abiding by the contents of the handbook.

PowerSchool: This is our online grade book where students and parents can view course grades at any time. The student and parent login are identical; parents may access PowerSchool through their student or call the main office to receive the login and password at any time. Students' grades update each time an assignment is entered, so the report reflects real-time progress in a class. Parents should check PowerSchool twice a month to stay updated on their student’s progress in a proactive manner.

Schoology: This is the online learning management system that teachers use to post classroom resources and directions, such as homework reminders, course content, or online assignments. It is a student's responsibility to check it regularly to stay updated with what's happening in theircourses. Some clubs and organizations will also use Schoology to communicate with their members. Parents can view their student's courses using a separate account, which can be obtained from the IT staff.

Calendar & Bell schedule: We have various bell schedules depending on the day of the week or special events that might take place during the school day. Consult this schedule and the school calendar for the latest updates.

Counseling referral form: We offer short-term individual counseling sessions geared to help students use effective problem-solving skills to assist in coping with personal or social issues. Students can refer themselves or be referred by a parent, teacher, or staff member.
